Business Controller (English job advertisement)

You are looking for a full-time position in an international strategy consultancy as a Business Controller and would like to join us to ensure that as many eligible patients as possible are treated with innovative medicines and medical technology products? Then we should get to know each other!

As part of the MAP Group, SKC consulting is the leading strategy consultancy for market access, pricing and reimbursement of innovative pharmaceuticals, MedTech and digital health applications. We support the drug market launch of international operating companies for rare diseases or products that set new therapy standards. We are enthusiastically committed to solving demanding situations. 

You will join our experienced Finance & Controlling team in Hanover, Germany and collaborate with the UK Chief Financial Officer and the German management team. Together with our partners in the UK and in Belgium we provide the management team with in-depth financial information and analysis to jointly achieve international success as the MAP Group. The team also arranges interface management of various functions such as Business Development & Human Resources.

This is what you achive with us:

Support for the Business Development and Controlling & Finance teams in strategic alignment and operational business development, including:

  • You (can) confidently create calculations and reports for management decision-making (e.g. business 
    reviews, financial plans, forecasts, budgets) based on MS Excel and MS Power Bi. 
  • You enjoy performance measurements & evaluations (including profitability, liquidity, cash flow, 
    operational KPIs).
  • You are responsible for cost, resource and budget planning and monitor ongoing client projects (target/
    actual analyses).
  • You will be proactively involved in process optimization to increase profitability using the key performance 
    indicators and the relevant IT tools. 
  • You will support the German monthly financial statement and the transfer to the management information 
    system of the parent company in the UK
  • You will support the management in making investment decisions.
  • You will support the sales planning and the weekly pipeline calculation and prepare the base for monthly 
    invoices in German & English
  • You will implement the new project management software in Germany, which will create 
    transparency in the whole group.
  • You are a reliable and committed partner for our internal team and a competent service 
    provider for our international clients.
  • You are focused on achieving the business performance targets at all times.

 

 

What you have to offer:

  • Successfully completed apprenticeship with advanced training as a controller or a university 
    degree in Business Administration with a specialization in finance or a related field of study
  • Ideally several years of professional experience in the field of financial or business controlling or a relevant 
    area, as well as excellent handling of controlling software 
  • Excellent knowledge of business administration, accounting, financial planning and other economic areas
  • Very good understanding of mathematics and statistics as well as very good MS Excel and Power Bi skills 
  • Fluent German (C2 level) and English (at least C1 level) 
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills 
  • A high level of attentiveness, an accurate work style and ready to take on responsibility
  • A strong sense of humor
