Lately the conference has been publicly criticized for its aggressive sales & marketing tactics. On Twitter and co., the European tech community debated the event’s – often misleading – practices to get people and start-ups to attend, e.g. toying with the number of attendees from a certain country that have purportedly signed up to buy event tickets to actually showing logos from startups who haven’t registered.
Nevertheless, many still consider the summit to be one of the best annual tech events, excellently executed in terms of networking potential, entertainment and speaker quality. Hence, the event will provide its visitors a broad and deep insight into digital developments and will also address societal relevant issues, such as how to shape a human future with technologies.

I especially look forward to the HealthConf on Thursday, where protagonists from the industry will discuss Digital Health innovations.
