Invisible Organs

Nomination for the Innovation Award of Lower Saxony 2022

Tue, 2022 / 05 / 03
The innovation association "Invisible Organs" has been nominated for the Innovation Award of Lower Saxony 2022 in the category "vision". SKC consulting supports the association as a cooperation partner for several years.

Under the patronage of Lower Saxony's Minister of Economics, Dr. Bernd Althusmann, and Lower Saxony's Minister of Science, Björn Thümler, the Innovation Award of Lower Saxony is awarded in the three categories " vision", "cooperation" and "economy" to honor Lower Saxony's success stories. The award ceremony will take place on July 5th, 2022.

"Invisible Organs" is revolutionizing transplantations by using genetic organ modification to prevent rejection of transplanted organs. To this end, the tissue characteristics are selectively and permanently switched off, which leads to a lack of target structures for immunologically mediated rejection. As a result, an organ can no longer be recognised as extraneous.

As a cooperation partner, SKC consulting is involved in the innovation network "Invisible Organs". This includes the analysis of the marketability of the ex vivo organ engineering procedure in subproject 3, cost analysis & participation.
