Innovation processes in the healthcare industry - challenges and translation
The objective of the workshop was to examine innovation processes from two very different but both very relevant perspectives: this being the perspective of the pharmaceutical industry in comparison to the perspective of the medical technology industry. It became evident that both areas of the health care system have completely different requirements, both regulatory in nature and immanent, such as the combination of drugs prescribed by a doctor with subsequent self-medication on the pharmaceutical side and the medical device and medical application on the other.
