The power of networks - how information is changing the health care industry

After the success of the health care strategy day in 2010, the federal minister of economy at that time Dr. Philipp Rösler also assumed the patronage role for the fifth Hannover strategy day. This time, the speakers and the participants discussed the possibilities of information processing in the health care sector. Prof. Sandy Pentland, a pioneer of socio-informatics (Director of the MIT human dynamics laboratory) gave an insight into the influence of social networks on human behavior. Moreover, during the talks of the marketing gurus Prof. Dr. Theo Poiesz, Prof. Dr. Klaus Kocks, Kathrin Passig and Prof. Dr. Dr. Michael Marschollek, an insight about the possibility of creating value through social media and the networking of medicine was given. Deep discussions of the diverse topics as well as the exchange of contact details were possible during the entire event over the large networking platform.
